A vision board is a powerful tool for manifesting your dream life, and with the advent of digital design tools like Canva, creating one has never been easier.

In this complete guide, I'll walk you through the process of creating a digital vision board that encompasses all major life categories.

We'll also explore techniques to help you manifest your desires and overcome limiting beliefs from both an energetic and spiritual perspective. This part is so important because let's be real, there is going to be some stuff that comes up around what you believe is possible. 

Now, let's dive in!

Creating Your Vision Board in 6 Steps


Step 1: Set Your Intentions

Before diving into Canva, take some time to reflect on your goals and desires in various life categories. This will help you gain clarity and focus when designing your vision board.

Consider what you want in areas such as where you live, what you wear, what and where you eat, your career, relationships, and more.

Step 2: Create Your Canva Account

If you don't already have one, sign up for a free Canva account. 

Canva is my go-to for alllll of the things when it comes to graphics or design. It's super easy to use!

It offers a user-friendly platform with a wide range of design tools and templates. 


Step 3: Design Your Vision Board

Alright, radiant soul, it's time to start designing your digital vision board on Canva.

  • Chose a Template: Canva offers numerous templates for vision boards. Select one that resonates with you or start from scratch.
  • Add Major Life Categories: Create sections or frames for each major life category you want to focus on. Use text or graphics to label them. 
  • Select Visual Representations: Search Canva's library for images, icons, and illustrations that symbolize your desires within each category. For example, if you're visualizing a dream home, find a beautiful house image. You can also upload your own images if you have something specific in mind. 
  • ​Design Layout: Arrange the visuals within each category section. Make it visually appealing and harmonious. 
  • ​Add Text and Affirmations: Include empowering affirmations or quotes related to your goals. Use Canva's text tools to make them stand out. 
  • Incorporate Personal Photos: If you have personal photos that represent your aspirations, add them to your vision board.

Step 4: Manifestation Techniques

Now that you've completed your digital vision board, let's explore some techniques to bring those desires into your reality, shall we?

More than likely, there are going to be some major limiting beliefs that come up around what is on your vision board.

Personally, I've experienced so much of this. It's really something that can block you from manifesting your desires so it's really important to become aware of these beliefs and use the tools below to work through them. 

  • Visualization: Spend time each day visualizing yourself living the life depicted on your vision board. Feel the emotions and sensations as if you're experiencing them in this present moment. The thing is, your mind can't tell the difference between what is real and what is imagined. That is why this is so powerful. I also recommend getting in the habit of doing this right before you fall asleep each night. This is when the pathway from your conscious mind to your subconscious mind is extremely permeable so it's very effective!
  • EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique): Tap into EFT to release emotional blocks. You can look up EFT videos on Youtube to incorporate this into your daily routine. It's easy, quick and honestly, super effective. When I first learned about EFT, I was skeptical. Like yeah, ok, tapping on my body and saying phrases is going to help me change my life. Soon after, I learned that what is is about is nervous system regulation. By tapping on pressure points in the body while using this technique, you learn how to feel safe in your body with these new beliefs and clear any energy blocks around your desires. 
  • Meditation: Regular meditation can help you stay aligned with your goals and reduce stress. It also helps you to connect with your intuition and enhances your flow of creativity. I'm certified as a Chopra Meditation Instructor so I can't say enough about the benefits of meditation, especially when it comes to manifesting your desires. One of the most amazing things is that when you meditate regularly and learn to be still, creative ideas, hunches and insights will come to you that will provide you with guidance on the next action steps to take to make your desires a reality. 
  • ​Breathwork: Incorporate deep breathing exercises to calm your nervous system and increase  your energy. Again, you can look up tutorials online or even take a live breathwork class. I've done breathwork classes virtually and I cannot speak highly enough of how transformative this practice is. 
  • Journaling: When it comes to your desires, you may not even be aware of the limiting beliefs you have around them. I know that I wasn't until I learned to really sit with the feelings in my body to see what comes up when I think about certain things I intend to manifest. This is where journaling around things can be so beneficial. Check out my free workbook for journal prompts!
  • Vagus Nerve Activation: You can easily active your vagus nerve to regulate your nervous system by following a simple and easy breathing technique. All of this is outlined in the workbook, so make sure to grab your copy. 


Step 5: Proof & Accountability

To reinforce your belief that your goals are attainable:

Create a "Proof" Section: On your vision board, add a section for "proof" where you showcase past achievements or evidence that you are already moving towards your desired life.

Regularly Update Your Vision Board: As you achieve your goals or evolve in your desires, update your vision board accordingly to keep it relevant and inspiring.

Step 6: Placement & Daily Viewing

To ensure your vision board has a significant impact on your life:

Choose a Prominent Location: Place your digital vision board as a wallpaper on your computer or phone. You can also print it and display it in a visible spot in your home.

Daily Viewing Ritual: Set aside a few minutes each day to gaze at your vision board. Let the images and affirmations inspire and motivate you.

Personally, I incorporate this into my daily mindset routine so that I don't forget. I also look at it before meditation and before bed.
