There was a time when I woke up already feeling drained. Before my feet even hit the floor, my mind was racing—emails, meetings, family obligations, all pulling me away from what I really craved: a deeper connection with myself and the freedom and stillness to enjoy my morning on my own terms.
If you’re anything like I was, you know the feeling. You’re successful on paper, but something is missing. You’re drawn to spirituality, intuition and deeper meaning, but you’re not quite sure how to integrate these things into your busy life.
That’s where self-care, the intuitive way, comes in. This isn’t just bubble baths and face masks (though, hey, I love those too). It’s about rituals that restore your energy, ground you in your power, and bring you back into alignment. Because when you’re energetically aligned, life flows—decisions feel easier, opportunities appear and you feel like you're operating in your authenticity. Essentially, you're in a flow state.
If that sounds like what you need, you’re in the right place. And to make this journey even easier, I created the Intuition Ignitor Quick Start Checklist to help you reconnect with your inner knowing.
Let’s dive in!
The way you start your morning shapes your entire day. Now let me tell you, if you're not a morning person, I get it.
Waking up earlier than I need to to start my day with intention is one of my biggest struggles. Being cozy in bed is my ultimately happy place! However, when I am consistently doing so, my day (and ultimately, my life) goes infinitely better.
Instead of reaching for your phone and diving into the noise of the outside world, try these intuitive self-care rituals to set the intention for the day:
Energy Check-In: Before getting out of bed, take a deep breath and scan your body. Ask yourself: How am I feeling today? What do I need? What am I grateful for?
This simple practice strengthens your connection to your intuition.
Water Ritual: Before your morning cup of coffee, drink a glass of water with intention. Hold it in your hands, close your eyes, and set a simple affirmation: I nourish my body. I am clear. I am energized.
Water holds so much power for transmuting energy!
Morning Stillness: Spend 15 minutes basking in stillness. Meditation is my favorite in the morning. Don't overthink it - just set a timer on your phone for 15 mins, close your eyes, take a deep breath and be still.
Some of my biggest intuitive downloads have come during this time.
Visualization: Spend 5 minutes visualizing the outcome of your day. What is one thing you can do today that will bring you closer to your dream life? Even if it is the tiniest thing, visualize your yourself doing it and the energy that you intend to be in while doing it.
When I started implementing these small shifts, I noticed a massive difference. I wasn’t rushing into my day feeling stressed & scattered—I was moving with calmness & intention.
If you work in a high-energy environment, interact with a lot of people, or just feel drained midday, you need an energy reset practice.
Here are a few ways to clear stagnant energy and realign:
Grounding Walk: Step outside, take a deep breath, and imagine roots growing from your feet into the earth. This instantly clears mental clutter and re-centers you.
If you live in a climate that gets cold AF like me, try getting a walking pad! This has helped me get over my afternoon slump so much. You can still have a grounding walk indoors if the weather is unfavorable.
Energy Shielding: Before heading into a meeting or a busy place, visualize a golden light surrounding you like a protective bubble. This keeps other people’s energy from overwhelming yours.
Imagining that you are always divinely protected is one of the best ways to protect your energy.
Breathwork or Movement: A few deep breaths, a quick dance break or even shaking out your hands can move stuck energy and shift your mood.
One of my biggest breakthroughs came when I stopped allowing myself to absorb everyone else’s energy. Now, I protect my own, and I feel so much more empowered in my day. If you're an empath like me, this will be a game changer.
Your evening rituals should help you unwind, release and recharge. Try these to transition from the day into deep rest:
Release Journaling: Write down anything that felt heavy, frustrating or misaligned during the day. Then, (if you can) safely burn or rip up the paper. This is a powerful way to let go of what no longer serves you.
Abundance Bath or Shower: Water is a natural energy cleanser. As you bathe, imagine all stress and negativity washing away. Add Epsom salts, essential oils, or even set a candlelit intention for extra magic.
When I take an abundance bath, I love to imagine that the water is infusing every cell of my body with abundance. I even bought a color changing glowing moon that I set next to the bath with a glowing green light to amp of the vibe!
Gratitude & Intuition Practice: Before bed, write three things you’re grateful for and ask your intuition: What guidance do I need for tomorrow? You might be surprised by the insights that come in your dreams or right before you fall asleep.
Since adding these rituals to my evening routine, I sleep better, feel lighter, and wake up feeling renewed instead of exhausted.
Here’s the truth: You don’t need to do all of these rituals every day. Start small. Pick one or two that resonate with you and commit to them. The magic happens in the consistency. If you find that one particular ritual doesn't resonate with you, don't do it!
Self-care rituals should never feel like a chore. If they do, then it defeats the whole purpose.
