Have you ever doubted your own decisions? Felt lost, confused, or unsure about what to do next? As women, we often second-guess ourselves and rely too much on external sources for guidance.
However, deep within each of us, lies a powerful tool of self-awareness and guidance: our intuition.
Intuition is the language of the soul, the whisper of our inner wisdom, and our compass for aligning with our true purpose.
By strengthening and developing our intuition, we can tap into our innate power and make choices that align with our deepest desires and dreams.
Over the last couple of years, I've been tapping into my intuition to make decisions more and more and let me tell you, it's a game changer!
For example, it was following my intuition that led me to become a Meditation Instructor. That was never a goal of mine or even something I'd previously imagined myself doing but I followed my hunches one by one and it led me down this path.
In this post, I will provide specific action items and exercises that can help you awaken your inner wisdom and develop your intuition. So let's dive in!
In spiritual terms, intuition can be understood as the profound and innate ability to perceive and comprehend truths or insights beyond the limitations of rational thought or sensory experiences.
It is often described as a heightened form of inner knowing or spiritual guidance that arises from the deeper essence of our being.
Intuition is believed to be a direct connection to the divine, the universe, or a higher power, providing us with glimpses of profound wisdom and a sense of alignment with a greater cosmic order.
This intuitive knowledge is said to originate from the soul or spirit and can serve as a compass, guiding individuals along their spiritual path and helping them make choices that are in harmony with their higher purpose.
In many spiritual traditions, cultivating and trusting one's intuition is seen as a way to tap into the universal consciousness and access profound insights that go beyond the confines of the material world.
It is a sacred gift that invites individuals to embrace their interconnectedness with all of creation and to journey towards spiritual growth and enlightenment.
In other words, your intuition is an internal knowing of something without a logical or conscious explanation for why you know the thing.
It can be experienced in the form of a pull, hunch, insight, download, nudge, impulse, calling, compulsion or an internal voice telling you to go in a specific direction.
1. Meditation - Meditation is a powerful tool for developing intuition. It helps to quiet the mind, reduce stress, and enhance our awareness of our inner self.
Meditating connects you with the present moment which is one of the easiest way to tap into your intuition.
To get started with meditation, find a quiet and comfortable place, set a timer for 5-10 minutes, close your eyes, and focus on your breath.
Observe any thoughts that arise, but do not engage with them. Simply bring your attention back to your breath.

2. Connect with Your Body
Often times, intuitive guidance will arise as a sensation in your body. When you are making a decision, notice if you feel expansion or constriction in your body.
If you feel expansion, this is likely a sign to go in that direction. If you feel constriction, that choice is likely not the best one for you.
You can connect with your body through breathwork, dance, deep belly breathing or tapping (such as EFT).
One of my favorite ways to connect with my body is through breathwork. It's truly amazing how effective methodical breathing can be for tapping into your intuition!
3. Journaling - Journaling is a great way to connect with your inner self and access your intuition.
Set aside time each day to write down your thoughts, feelings, and experiences. Write freely without any judgment or expectation.
Then, ask yourself questions such as "What is my intuition telling me?" or "What is my heart's desire?" and jot down whatever comes up for you.
4. Intuitive Exercises - There are various exercises you can do to strengthen your intuition.
One of my favorites is the 'Intuitive Tarot' exercise. Shuffle a tarot deck and pull a card at random.
Sit with the card for a few minutes and observe any sensations, feelings, or thoughts that arise. Then, interpret the card based on your own intuition and see how it relates to your current situation.
5. Mindful Eating - Mindful eating is a way to tune in to your body's wisdom and intuition.
Before eating, take a moment to breathe and connect with your body. Then, observe the food, its texture, smell, and taste.
Notice any sensations or feelings that arise in your body.
Pay attention to how the food makes you feel physically and emotionally. This practice can help you develop a deeper relationship with your body and its intuitive signals.
6. Track Synchronicities - As you begin to connect more with your intuition, you will begin to observe more and more synchronicities appearing in your life.
For example, you may begin to see certain numbers appearing every day, such as 333, 444, 555, etc. Or, you may begin to notice that just as something pops into your mind, something related to it shows up in front of you.
I've noticed the number 333 showing up for me every day CONSTANTLY for quite some time. Whenever I see 333, I trust that I am being divinely guided and am on the right path.
7. Spend Time Doing Nothing - One of the best things you can do to develop your intuition is to do nothing! It sounds too good to be true but it isn't.
We are often so pre-occupied with our never ending to-do list that we don't allow for our minds and bodies to just simply be.
I get some of my best intuitive downloads when I'm simply doing nothing at all. It's when I allow myself to simply be that I am most connected to the present moment.
8. Trust - Finally, trust is a crucial element in developing intuition.
Trust that your intuition is always guiding you towards what is best for you.
Trust that the universe is conspiring in your favor.
Trust that you are capable of making the right choices for yourself. Trust is a muscle that needs to be exercised, so practice trusting yourself and your intuition more and more each day.
Developing your intuition is a journey, not a destination.
It requires patience, practice, and trust. Sometimes, you'll follow fear or rationalized logic instead of intuition and that's ok.
Be easy with yourself, always.
By incorporating these simple exercises into your daily routine, you can awaken our inner wisdom and connect with your true purpose.
So, take small steps each day, trust yourself and your intuition, and watch as the magic unfolds.
Remember, you are powerful beyond measure, and your intuition is the key to unlocking your deepest desires.
